Events this weekend!!

 

SO much going on this weekend. I know the ESN pubcrawl is tomorrow, but here are some additions/alternatives!

Friday

Student-welcome party (aka SenSommerFest warm up)
From 13-16 there will be a Jukebox Partyband letting you decide the setlist! It will be happening at Lyngby Torv. There will also be cheap food and cheap beer! The event is both to welcome app. 5000 new students but also to let the total of 18000 students in Lyngby know that the city has things to offer.
Also, Fest & Farver, the costume shop in Lyngby, will be giving great offers on costumes for the SenSommerFest - find them at Lyngby Torv.

SenSommerFest

This year, the SenSommerFest will be behind building 101. Tickets are required before and after dinner (dinner tickets = 80 DKK, can be bought at your student councils, after-dinner tickets = 20 DKK, can be bought the same places + S-House or in-door, outside S-House). Dinner's at 18-21, everything else from 21-02.

There will be 6 tents with different themes and happy hours! 
Tent A: The Wild West (happy hour 21:30-22:30)
Tent B: Star Wars (hh 22:00-23:00)
Tent C: Suit Up (hh 22:30-23:30)
Tent D: Fairytale (hh 23:00-24:00)
Tent E: Retro (hh 23:30-00:30)
Tent F: Harry Potter (hh 00:00-01:00)

Dress to go with one of the themes!

There will be a wardrobe in Oticon! 10 DKK per item.

Philosophy-toga party!

As part of the Golden Days festival (this year "Philosophy Now!") there will be a giant toga party in Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek - one of the, in my opinion, most beautiful classic buildings in all of Copenhagen. There will be musicians (Jenny Hval, Synd og Skam (Danish post-punk), Lady Smita, Rita Blue og Christian d'Or).

Dress up in your best toga and take it out on the dance floor with all the classic sculptures at Glyptoteket at 20:00-02, Dantes Plads 7, KBH V. More info here: goldendaysfestival.dk.


Distortion Late Summer Garden Party!

Street party masters, Distortion, will celebrate the end of summer on Amager Fælled on 6 day-scenes and 4 night-scenes. Everything from rave and house to reggae and evergreens! There will be a bouncing castle, boats and lasershow! From 16-22 at Amager Fælles, KBH S (entrance across DR Byen metro station). Entrance = 50 DKK! More info on Facebook.

Saturday

Heyday Street party

The party goes down at Sønder Boulevard, where there will be ping-pong tournaments and music from a bunch of DJ's. From 13-00. Free! More on Facebook.

90's party

If you miss the early 90's music, you should go out Saturday and dance the night away at Spillestedet Stengade! The DJ's will be authentic and from the actual period, Tony Manic and Peder Pedal and many more. From 22-03, Stengade 18, KBH N. Entrance: 50 DKK. More on Facebook.

Giant party in old machine workshop

The name of the party concept is RAW, and they present more than 40 artists in the old train machine workshop, inkluding Objekt, Addison Groove, dOP (!!!), Icicle and a bunch of Danish DJ's!
